Super Junior wins a triple crown on 2011 Mashable Awards
Super Junior is named as the Best Twitter Star of 2011 with the support of its fans around the world.
Recently, a famous American social media news blog, Mashable, reported the stars that had big influence on social networks this year such as Twitter and YouTube.
According to the 2011 Mashable Awards list posted on its blog, Super Junior ranked at the top in three fields, earning a triple crown. Its global popularity is definitely confirmed.
Super Junior was placed at the top in the field of “Must-Follow Musician or Band on Social Media” which recognizes a star with the best number of followers on Twitter. With its mobile game, Super Junior Shake, the group also won “the Best Mobile Game.”
In addition, Super Junior’s title song for its third album, “Mr. Simple,” ranked the group no. 1 in the field of “Viral Video of the Year” as it went viral around the world through the fans. Previously, YouTube named Super Junior as the Best Star on YouTube for the most views.
Last year, Mashable has also mentioned of Super Junior’s popularity around the world. The group’s title song for its second album, “Bonamana,” which was released in May 2010 gained tremendous popularity through Twitter.
2011 Mashable Awards will be held next year on January 11 in Las Vegas, U.S.
