Super Junior’s Shindong and Sungmin vs. Hyun Ah and Marilyn Monroe

Super Junior’s Shindong and Sungmin recently disguised themselves as women.
In the picture, which was recently released, Shindong and Sungmin are transformed into 4minute’s Hyun Ah and Marilyn Monroe.
Shindong is wearing a long brown curly wig and red lipstick. His sexy eyes make him look like a Hyun Ah clone. Sungmin is also wearing a blond wig and a white dress. His milky white skin and a mole next to his lips completely disguised him as Marilyn Monroe.
The picture was taken when the two idol stars recorded a video for the February 28 episode of MBC Music’s Show Champion. Since a picture of Shindong disguising himself as a sexy woman drew a lot of attention, the picture featuring him and Sungmin is also receiving an explosive response.
People responded: “Why are you releasing such a cute picture now? It’s great!” “Sungmin’s big eyes are so cute. I can’t wait to see other pictures too.” “Shindong, I hope you release undisclosed pictures more often.”
In the 3rd episode of the show, which will air on February 28, miss A and FT Island, who received the ‘Champion Song’ last week, will compete against each other. Singer Lee Ki Chan, who is back performing for the first time in a long time, will sing “I Hope It’s Not,” which is very popular after playing in MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday series The Moon Embracing the Sun.
Kim Geu Rin, Spica, Six Bomb, EXID, and J-symphony will also appear on the show to capture people’s eyes and ears by performing a variety of songs.
The show will air live on February 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun responds coldly to Lou Yixiao’s charming action

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun attracted attention with his cold look.
in the episode of MBC TV’s We Got Married that aired on February 25, Kyuhyun virtually married with Chinese actress Lou Yixiao. This episode was filmed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China.
In the episode, Kyuhyun was nervous to see Lou Yixiao at first, but soon teased her, showing a cold look when she acted charming in front of him. They seemed sweet together at first, decorating their new house; however, they met a difficult problem as the bedspread and blanket that Lou Yixiao bought were too small for their bed.
Kyuhyun asked, “Why did you buy these small ones?” and Lou Yixiao said, “I don’t know,” shaking her shoulders to act charming. Kyuhyun smiled at first but soon got laughs by suddenly changing his look cold-heartedly and saying, “What are you doing?”
Also, when Lou Yixiao said her favorite Korean celebrities were Lee Min Ho and Rain, Kyuhyun made a depressed look for a moment. However, as she said she liked Kyuhyun the most out of all Super Junior members, Kyuhyun smiled brightly as if he felt better by what she said.
The Chinese version of We Got Married showed virtual marriages of Kyuhyun and Lou Yixiao, and T-ara’s Hyomin and Chinese singer Fu Xin Bo.

Super Junior watches as f(x) comes out of the TV

Not literally, of course. Following SNSD’s announcement as the new models for LG 3D TV line, it seems that Super Junior has come out with their own ad for the 3D TV.
Members Sungmin, Ryeowook, Siwon, Eunhyuk, Shindong and Kyuhyun are busy watching TV when out of the blue, f(x)’s Victoria and Sulli come out of the TV, their arms outstretched. This, of course, is to promote the 3D-ness of the TV, and perhaps, it makes you want to see your idols coming out of the screen like that.
I wonder if they are promoting the same exact product as SNSD.

We Got Married to resume normal broadcast this coming March 3

Due to the ongoing strike on broadcast station MBC, various shows have been affected and one of these shows is "We Got Married", for several weeks now, the show has been airing special broadcast which has disappointed fans.

However, MBC is glad to announce that there has been arrangements made and "We Got Married" will be resuming normal broadcast of new episodes starting this 3rd of March. Due to the strike, the various shows of MBC have been having difficulty looking for a crew which caused hindrances to shows like "Infinite Challenge", "Golden Fishery - Radio Star", "Rockman" and "I am a Singer".

Along with the angry fans sending their complaints with their shows airing special broadcasts instead of new episodes week by week, MBC has been strained to resolve the situation as fast as possible. Fortunately, We Got Married will be experiencing no more problems and air new episodes starting this March 3.

VIP treatment at the Super Junior show: Priceless

The multitude has been massing in the rain since early afternoon, though the concert doesn’t start until 6 p.m. It is a homogeneous crowd: young girls in shorts and T-shirts, most of them Singaporean, with contingents from Japan, China, Malaysia, France and Sweden. There is a smattering of boys and older people — people in their 30s, Aaaaaaahhh! — but this is unquestionably a gathering of the most powerful, most sought-after consumer demographic on the planet: Teenage Girls.
In two and a half hours 13,000 tonsils will vibrate in tribute to the object of their frenzied adoration: the K-Pop group Super Junior. For now they must restrain their emotions and hormones and wait under the awnings until the doors of the Singapore Indoor Stadium are opened.
We don’t have to line up. In fact we don’t have to pass the same route as everyone else: we go down the private driveway that leads to our private parking space. And we don’t have to take the stadium access — there is a special entrance for MasterCard guests, and naturally there is a red carpet.
MasterCard is now a sponsor of the Singapore Indoor Stadium, one of Asia’s top venues for sports and live entertainment. This means that MasterCard’s invited guests get to avail of the full benefits of the stadium’s VIP Lounge before and after shows. The VIP lounge, formerly used by Premier Lee Kuan Yew, has been renamed the MasterCard Lounge. After enjoying cocktails and dinner at the well-appointed 140-seat lounge, guests are escorted to their special seats right outside the lounge.
It’s like being a friend of the band or part of the player’s entourage: the insider experience. Outside of the lounge, MasterCard holders can use their cards at all the stadium’s food and beverage outlets, where there is a priority line for them. After making purchases with their MasterCard, they can go to their seats without the risk of getting jostled and spilling food all over themselves. Their orders are delivered to them.
“MasterCard is proud to have formed a strategic alliance with the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the benefit of its invited cardholders and customers,” says Stuart Cameron, vice president, Regional Marketing, Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, MasterCard Worldwide. “With this tie-up, MasterCard customers and cardholders will get an enhanced experience at the heart of the action.”
The Singapore Indoor Stadium joins the list of MasterCard global sponsorship assets including the MasterCard Center in Beijing — the first time an Olympic venue has been commercially rebranded, and the MasterCard Center for Ice Hockey Excellence in Toronto. MasterCard recently renewed its official partnership with UEFA Champions League. Last year it was a sponsor of the Rugby World Cup (RWC) in New Zealand.
“These sponsorships are an opportunity to connect with fans in an authentic manner,” Cameron explains. “A fulfilling spectator experience drives affinity to the brand.” At the 2011 RWC the enhanced experience included a MasterCard Club in the fan zone where fans could see every game, meet and greet rugby legends, and for the first time in RWC history, vote for the Man of the Match. “If we are part of an event, the fan has a better experience,” Cameron says.
After a bracing buffet dinner and two glasses of wine we take our seats in the VIP section to the left of the main stage. The main stage branches into a catwalk that bisects the entire ground level, and the whole area is encircled by an elevated ramp. Below the stage and ramps are the mosh pits, or what would be the mosh pits if this were a rock concert. Every available space is crammed with fans holding blue light sticks. (Photography is strictly not allowed during the concert.)
On each of our seats we find two banners printed with Korean words. According to the taped instructions, one banner is to be held up while Super Junior is singing Our Love. Also, instead of saying “Encore,” we are requested to say the Korean word for it. I would oblige if I knew what Our Love sounds like. In truth I am ignorant of Super Junior’s oeuvre, but I am interested in what the audience wants and what it says about our times. I think the massive success of K-Pop groups like Super Junior can no longer be considered a fleeting infatuation.
This is not a novelty act, it’s a category. Essentially they have taken the boy band formula of Take That, N’Sync, etc., dressed it in Korean pop mode (the hair, the skinny suits, the fey/feminine quality), doubled the usual number of performers (there are nine guys in Super Junior at present, but the full membership is 12, apparently), and unleashed it on an Asian audience raised on American pop and flexing its new economic muscle. Critics might call their act imitation; from where we sit it looks like assimilation. The Asian century is upon us.
At 6:40 pm the screen flickers to life and the stadium is rent by a shriek like 13,000 Sharapovas serving an ace. In the video the nine members of Super Junior are underwater, looking pensive/intense. Suddenly giant angel wings sprout out of their backs (skipping several stages of evolution), and the winged singers zoom out of the water in colored arcs and land on the streets of some city. Every eardrum in the place has been liquefied, but the screaming gets even louder as the distinctively-coiffed heads of Super Junior begin to rise from beneath the stage.
One by one their names are announced. Later each member will show off his musical skills in a solo number — someone covers the ubiquitous Moves Like Jagger, someone else does Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely with vocals, piano and harmonica, someone plays the saxophone, and someone puts on a dress and does the full Britney. Later that same guy plays Julie Andrews in an extended parody of The Sound of Music. There are funny videos in which they play high school losers, and a dramatic one in which someone’s girlfriend dies in a car accident (while the audience shrieks its approval).
For now they are singing and executing their famed choreography. I gather Super Junior fans memorize the specific dance moves for each song, but I’m not sure there’s enough space on the floor to perform them. From our section all I see are blue lights swaying.
The front of the stage detaches and moves along the catwalk. It stops in the middle of the floor and rises in a flood of colored lights, whereupon fountains of water shoot out of the floor. Throughout the elaborate three-and-a-half-hour show (and the endless encore) the audience is screaming with love, admiration, happiness, and perhaps earache. At the three-hour mark I start wondering how we’re going to get out of this stadium with 13,000 people heading for the exits. Then I remember that the MasterCard Lounge has its own exit. The speedy getaway while thousands of tired and happy concertgoers make their way out of the stadium: priceless.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun rendered speechless thanks to ZE:A’s Siwan

ZE:A’s Siwan, who has gained much popularity thanks to his portrayal of teenager Yeom in the popular drama The Moon That Embraces the Sun, guested on MBC’s Radio Star on February 22nd, where he was asked questions about his sexuality.
Super Junior’s evil maknae, Kyuhyun, who is an MC on the program, brought up the subject and asked Siwan, “If you search ‘Im Si Wan’ online, the search term ‘Im Si Wan Gay’ comes out as a related search phrase.” Siwan was unfazed by such a question and he calmly replied, “I’ve seen it too. However I don’t think it’s a topic worth addressing. I don’t pay attention to it. There’s never even been a male that’s approached me believing I was gay. It’s not true.”
Not satisfied by this answer, Kyuhyun continued to prod Siwan, hoping to elicit a response. Kyuhyun asked, “Is anyone in ZE:A gay?” Siwan responded to this question by firing back one of his own, “Was there in Super Junior hyung(older brother)’s group?”
This question naturally surprised Kyuhyun, who was rendered speechless by the awesome comeback.

Chinese version of "We Got Married" to be officially aired on Korean channel on the 25th

The Chinese version of the programme "We Got Married" has officially been aired locally yesterday (14th February), and the programme has been scheduled to air on the Korean channel MBC TV on the 25th. It is bound to trigger a new craze. The Chinese version of "We Got Married" is a programme which has been specially created by Korea's MBC TV and China's SMG in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Korean and Chinese relations.

The programme has made it onto the "Shanghai Entertainment" magazine, earning the attentions of a large number of fans in China. Before the broadcast of the programme, SMG began their fervent promotions through their online video portals in order to increase the hype on the programme. Both parties also hoped that through this opportunity, they would be able to increase the cultural exchange between the young artists of both countries when the 20th anniversary of the Korean-Chinese relations rolls by.

In the Chinese version of "We Got Married", the celebrities from Korean and China crossed the country barriers and became a pair of made-up coupple. Super Junior's member Kyuhyun was paired with Lou Yixiao, while T-ara's member Hyomin was paired up with Fu Xinbo. It is highly anticipated how the differing cultures and values of both countries would spice up their 'married life'.

On the other hand, because of the worker strike going on at MBC TV, "We Got Married" was forced to go off air for two weeks (4th and 11th), and this caused concern amongst viewers whether the strike would be prolonged with the addition of the Chinese version of "We Got Married".

Super Junior’s Donghae is a big fluffy ball of evil

He may not look it, but even Super Junior’s Donghae can send chills down your spine with his ‘evil’ look. Evil but handsome.
In some newly released stills from his drama, Skip Beat, Donghae is dressed up in a slick black outfit, many black feathers littering his outfit. With his orange hair, dark makeup, and pale skin, Donghae more resembles that of a vampire rather than a black swan he seems to be portraying (the hint is the swan bottle he holds in the second picture). Nonetheless, he seems to be quite evil, despite his sweet nature.

Seo Ji Hye fazes Super Junior’s Siwon by her taking off her clothes

On the February 21 episode of SBS’s popular variety show Strong Heart, actor Seo Ji Hye was a guest and revealed some funny stories about herself and other actors.
Ji Hye told an interesting anecdote that started off with “I have been pregnant for eight years.” She said, “Since I turned 22, I’ve appeared in four drama series. In every series, I’ve had to have a bun in the oven.”
Lee Seung Gi, a popular actor and the main emcee of the show, asked her if there is any difference between when she plays in a historical drama series and a series about present-day life. Her answer attracted the focus of male guests’ attention: “The special outfit for pregnant women is helpful for keeping out the cold in the winter, but it’s too hot to wear in the summer. The silk clothes for high-class characters don’t absorb perspiration. That’s why whenever I’m an a historical series, I readily take off my clothes. Such silk costumes kill me in the summer.”
Ji Hye explained how the disrobing progresses: “At first, I take off the jeogori, or Korean traditional jacket. When it’s really hot, I even pull up the skirt. All the other actors and staff members around me enjoyed my self-exposure, except one person, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon.”
In 2007, Siwon and Ji Hye were both in MBC’s historical drama series Legend of Hyang Dan. “I didn’t care a snap about taking off the costume in front of Siwon because he’s younger than me, but he looked at me oddly and said, ‘However hot it may be, you shouldn’t forget you are a woman. Please put on your clothes.’ Over time, he became the first person to start taking off his own silk costumes. If you want to see ‘undressed’ actors, visit the sets in the summer,” she said, eliciting a roar of laughter from everyone around the table.
